Can someone please explain the scoring system of Killzone's Multiplayer?

I dont understand how the scoring works in the multiplayer. I only seem to get points for kills, however I thought you get points for defending a base/object, placing a C4 in serach and destroy, etc... My points only go up when I kill someone, can someone please explain?

yeaaa u get point for assassinations when ya playing that part killing people obviously, reviving people, and when u win they give u bonus points.. they should give u points for planting but only when you win it, when it explodes

yea the point system is kinda wack. Just kill as many people as possible and revive ppl and make sure your team wins and you will get a good amount of points.

I hate search and destroy and search and retrieve. the worst gametypes

points are awarded for..... kills, assassinations, retrieving propaganda, blowing up target.. after respective medals are earned u get more points for the different tasks for instance i recieve 4 points in bodycount for a headshot....all because of the head fetish medal and the war sumthin?? medal
