I got Wavey Lines and a annoying Buzzing sound on My TV. I know you can buy a special cord to fix it,but is there a way i can fix it without buying something? Any help will do. Thanks guys.

You probably have a ground loop. Try using an adapter for your power cord that had no third prong. Cost is like 50 cents.

buy a 3 to 2 prong converter at your local hardware shop.

pic to help: ps3 power cable -----> 2 to 3 prong converter ---------> outlet you already use

then it should get rid of the electrical interference i had to get one as well but it works.

no there is interference between your outlet and your ps3 power cord. Lots of outlets do it. Its not a fault it just has to do with the technology around you giving of magnetic interference which in turn causes the lines. If you buy the converter it makes it so it blocks out the interference which i think enters through the third prong which is why it is eliminated.

I could be totaly wrong but at least it sounds good lol but i know it works.

It's just a little adapter that only has two prongs on one end and has the receptacle for your 3 pronged PS3 power cable. Basically you are eliminating the ground. Try that. Also try checking your TV cables. Are you using HDMI or something else? If something else make sure it's not all wrapped up in a coil, or it isn't against something else that might cause interference.

I am a year later on this topic... But I also have this problem with the wavy lines. Also when I plug it with the regular AV cable (yello, white and red) direct in the TV, it causes a noise in the speaker. I was questionning about the un-grounding thing. Is it safe to use a 3 to 2 pin converter?? will it cause damage to the game console??

Thanks for the help!
