I believe it can, and if it does, just charge it while it's off, alot quicker.

No you're wrong. You can charge it anytime anywhere doing anything if you're near an outlet. I've charged it doing everything on my PSP and it works.

uhh no.... hate to break it to ya.....but.... you're miserably wrong... and he's definitely right. No charging while doing anything that uses the wifi capability.

Why are you asking this question just try it yourself. Even if you're going to buy a PSP, it's obvious or else no one would buy it

You can charge it while doing anything. If yours does not chrage while using the wifi then theres something wrong. As long as it's plugged into a working outlet it can charge.

Jesus Christ you can't charge it while browsing the net for example, Try it your self man, use a half empty battery, and plug your PSP into charger. You’ll see the light change to orange (means it’s charging). now go to web browser as soon as you get connected to your connection the orange changes to green meaning no charging, how ever you can take out the battery and the PSP will start to use the charger as a power supply but you cant charge and use the WiFi, I even tried it with my friends PSP right now and its same thing so there's nothing wrong with mine, his, and ShadowXaz's. Actually if your PSP charges while using WiFi then something is wrong with your PSP because its not suppose to do that.

For some reason my psp wont charge when im doing anything.  The other day I was in the middle of a game and I had one bar left so i plugged it in and then it died.  I can charge it without it on fine.  But whenever I try with it on it turns off and I have to start from the menu

to clear things up: when you plug in the charger and you're online it doesn't charge your PSP, it just keeps the battery from dying

your battery can very well die but when its dead and there is no battery left it'll jus switch to the external power source.

My PSP can charge whatever I'm doing, I just tried it and my PSP (European 3.11) can charge whilst browsing the internet/playing a Wifi game. And don't tell me it's not charging because I have perfect (well, human) vision on both eyes.

Ontopic: Yes, it can.
