Well dude i charged mine tonight using the USB-miniB. Set the psp USB connection on and then turn the PSP on to sleep mode by pressing the screen button. The green "ON" light will change to orange meaning it's charging.
The slim charges directly from USB while the fat needs a special USB cable with 2 plugs to do it.
You have to remember that charging from the USB is slow though. I can get a full charge (from 0%) in 1-2 hrs with the charger. Using the USB method will take MUCH longer.
Well, my cousin is giving me his PSP but he can't find the charger. So, can you charge the PSP with a USB cable or do I have to buy a AC adapter for it ? can someone please tell me ?

If you have the USB Charge option ON, then you can charge it through USB. (I'm curious as to why you bumped this thread? It's almost four years old..)
