Can you change the psp's keyboard?

Is it possible to change the layout of the built in keyboard on the psp? So that it has a single character per button like the ds keyboard(just without the touch screen :P)

Hit the select button until you get the full onscreen keyboard on there. 3000 model only.

That works on the PSP go also.

I've done that on my 1000 model. There was a firmware that implemented that. It should be fine as long as your psp is up to date.
