Can you play European PS3 games on a NA PS3

Hey guys

I wanted Resistance 3 survival edition, but it was not released in NA. My parents are taking a trip to Europe and are able to buy the survival edition. My dad emailed me and told me that the store owner told him that the game is made for a European PS3 and will not run ona NA PS3 system.

Does anyone know if thats correct? I that people imported PS3 games all the time, or am I wrong, are their regional restrictions.

PS3 is region free so yes it'll work however any DLC won't work on a US account.

The DLC that comes with Resistance 3 and the Online pass you will have to make a EU account as it's invalid on your US account.

How hard is it to use the search function or google it for 30 seconds?

Games are region free, DLC has to be the same ragion that the game has, BluRays are mostly Regio free, DVD, PS2 and PS1 are regio locked
