Yes I can. But they're discontinuing all the models with BC, so find yourself one of the MGS4 bundles. They're still out there. The Target around the corner from me has like 5 of em.Generic_DudeFollowing What I'd previously suggested to this guy, I myself have had a few games that were simply *not* functional on the soft-BC 80GB, but were perfectly fine on the 60GB model. So what will Sony do for us if(and - let's not kid ourselves - when) these units break and have to be taken in for service? I don't want to end up with a neutered unit in return.
You can only play ps2 games on the 20 GB, and 60 GB. The 40 GB does not play ps2 games and the 80 GB plays most of them. So your best bet would be to get a 60 GB, but you can'T get one IN STORES. biggsmoke420And what few places that will sell you one will utterly gouge the living **** out of you for it. Thanks so **** much, $ony!
I got my 60GB from Toys R Us just this past January for $499. It came with a free Sixaxis because they were trying to unload their 60GB units. I don't consider that price gouging.
Also, on amazon.com, there are plenty of 60GB to be had for reasonable prices.
Only those with Back Compatability can play PS2 and even PS1, such as my 1st Generation. Thats why they are cheaper than the 1st Generation. Totally, bummers.

I thought all PS3s could play PS1 games.
