Well just today when i went to EBgames to pre-order a couple of ps3 games the guy that works there told me that they will start selling PSN cards either by the end of May or begging of June, he said that they made an agreement and that it will finally be released in Canada. i hope this is true, just thought i would share this with thsoe who been waiting for them. unfortinatly i dont have a link but if its really true im positive the news will go around the internet pretty soon :).

I'm curious if they'll charge tax. They shouldn't, because tax is added on when you make purchases through PSN. However, tax is collected on XBL and Nintendo points cards, and as I doubt PSN cards will be able to be classified as gifts cards, I expect we'll be double-paying tax, which sucks. Or rather, other Canadians will be - I'll just keep using my credit card.

Hmm thats a really good question. if they do charge tax it will be double paying tax indeed as PSN also charges tax. i also dont need it since i as well use credit card.

In fact, there is a way to play PlayStation2 games on the newer edition of the PlayStation3. Firstly, you must go to the PlayStation Store Secondly, proceed to Add-On followed by Disc-Based Games Add-Ons Than go to the PS2 System Data.. Once downloaded and installed, you should be able to play PlayStation2 games on your PlayStation3. Hope it helps.

That's only to play games like Final Fantasy XI or other unique online games on PS2 BC compatible PS3s. Sorry.
