Cannot Copy Certain Game Saves. QUESTION.

In this case, I can't copy my Killzone 2 data to my USB stick. I got a new hard drive and need everything backed up. I can do it with an external hard drive but I was still wondering: If I continued without the KZ2 game save and started all over again, which I wouldn't mind (campaign), does that mean my online status/ranking will be reset as well??

EDIT: And I mean the in-game battle ranking, not my trophies. I know those are saved online.

I dont think you can copy "Game Data" but you can copy saves. You cant copy data becuz its stuff from the disck that will always be on the disk and can always be replace at any time. For example things like installations, updates and things like that. RTUUMM

By game data I actually meant game saves. You can't copy every single game save. I've had this with Killzone and Rock Band.

"Copying of this data is not allowed".

Again, I'm talking about the actual game save.
