Cant conect to the Network/online

OK! now i made an Network Name to go online...and it lets me sign in and all that godd stuff. But i put in a Game like CoD5 and when i click PLAY ONLINE my Router box for my DSL dissconnects, but when i use my wireless connection for my computer or my 360 it lets me go online and for the 360 it lets me play online..What is wrong with my ps3 Anmy sugestions??

Do ypu get an error code at all? Ok without playing any game, turn your PS3 on and make sure you SIGN into PSN on the main menu (XMB) Once it tell you that you have 'signed in' goto the settings section, network settings and select the option that says somthing like 'Network status' or similar I think its the top option. Check everything is ok in that section, signal strength ect etc. At the bottom you will see a heading called NAT TYPE If your NAT TYPE is type 3, this may prevent you playing games online. If you google, Portforward' and select the first website i believe. that website will shw you how to chnage your nat type. Alternatively. Use the search feature of the gamespot forums and have a look for Nat Type threads. Its a common fault but easyily fixed if this is the offending setting. If your nat type is 2 already, or you have just set your nat type to type 2. Try accessing the Playstation Store, try another game, use the web browser. Try and cancle down what could be the fault. Hell it could be that the servers on COD5 are down. Hope this helps (Sorry cant provide links as im using my PS3 to type)

Hey, your NAT maybe type 3, which isnt good when you have a PS3. The best is to have type 1 or 2. I actually have type 3, yet I play online just fine. Im not positive this is the problem though, but it could be. let me know if this helps

ok....I connected manually everything.....and it still has type 3 and madden 09 or cod5 wont let me play online...And i look at a fourm Another fourm....and it says try it maunall and u wont get TYPE 3 for NAT AND I still do ....so would it be my connection or PS3 still
