yea that happens for me on Call of Duty 4 also...idk if im the only one who has to do this >.> but i think it's my sucky router...and i found that if i go to private match and kill myself for like 2 minutes...than i can get into games on COD4...works for some reason...than after a while my friend can invite me and it will work flawlessy...

Happens a lot with my friend too (Who lives about 20 minutes from me). It's pretty good now though.

It just means you don't have good connections between each other. Which can be weird especially if you live quite close to him, and yet you can play with people internationally.

Usually I just join a mercenary match lobby, then just leave, and invite my friend again. Then it usually works to get a party going. I don't know why lol.

ok COD4 that happens sometimes more often than should, if he is in a room and invites you though and it gets full you wont join, i have also heard that if your trying to co-op army of two for the campaign if you are not as far as your friend in the game it has problems letting you since you have not reached the same level

hi i got the same problem as u. i have a wireless network and couldn't join my friends invites:

Try this go to your router, log in and go to security and click on the box "Enable universal plug and play"

that worked for me and hope it will work for you too. :p
