What I want to know is why in the hell to people like to listen to music while playing video games?! How about just listen to the game while playing the game! I even turn off the in-game music that is if there is that option, because I for one do not like hearing music while I play a video game.
cuz when im playing online i like hearing my own music, and it gets me in the mood and i hate hearing annoyin ppl on mic's.
whats wrong with that?

So do you mute your tv while playing a game to not listen to the game's soundtrack:?
Then just disable mics then so you don't have to listen to them. :|cuz when im playing online i like hearing my own music, and it gets me in the mood and i hate hearing annoyin ppl on mic's.

i hate when people play online with a mic and listen to music, But if you're playing offline, I can understand your argument. Don't you have an ipod or mp3 player or a computer?cuz when im playing online i like hearing my own music, and it gets me in the mood and i hate hearing annoyin ppl on mic's.

M$ patented in-game music so the only way to do it off the HDD is if the Devs make it an option.

What I would like to know is why the 360 can do it and the people at Sony, who have a much better machine can't begin to comprehend the concept? That's the whole reason why I traded Burnout paradice in from the PS3 port to the 360 port. When you're playing Drunken Lulabies by Flogging Molly, it jsut sounds more appropriate then Girlfriend by Avril La(howeverthecrapyouspellherlastname). It gets me in the mood to wreck and crash cars. I don't know, maybe it's just me.joemerchant2006
I believe its becaues Microsoft copyrighted the idea and sony has been tryin to find ways around it.
wow that makes me really mad at microsoft. Seriously, wtf, you shouldnt be able to copyright something like that

You do know that the Ps3 version of Burnout Paradise has custom soundtracks
i hear you dude i like listening to music while playing, and you guys saying " who the heck listens to music while playing games!" i lot of people like to, i like to, especially shooting games, puts me in Beast Mode XD . I mean alot of people here are trying to really hard to say this isnt a negative but it is. Not having a feature ona console is never a good thing, even if you had an option to listen to your music on ps3 you wouldnt have to.
I can't believe they were allowed to patent that, complete **** Looks like Sony tried their best to get around the patent by implementing the dev unlocking it option.M$ patented in-game music so the only way to do it off the HDD is if the Devs make it an option.

WEll I could see that, but i bugs me. Sony was one of the first to mass produce the walkman, come out with some of the most technical-advanced stuff, but playing music during games evades them? Whew. I know the copyrighted crap's crap, but you think Sony would come up with their own thing to play music while you're playing.joemerchant2006They did. Every dev has the ability to add it in.
Is there a way to do this? cuz if not that sucks theROOTS420
Never understood why people want to listen to music while playing games? I would rather AND for the most part have to hear the game. If you want music turn on your stereo thats what its for. OR use your PC or use you mp3 player. Its simple. Let a gaming console be for gaming..
Why the heck would this matter to anyone whether or not I listen to my own preferred music in any game. If I want to listen to metal when playing a game that's my own choice, I should have no sway in what you listen to or don't listen to in any game. Just give everyone a choice, that's all that matters. Dev's need to do this for ALL GAMES. Screw M$ for copyrighting this crap. This is a great example why people hack systems, because greedy corporations feel they have to copyright something that all people should have access to.
