Capcom afraid to make game exclusive for PS3 ?

I remember when they cancelled Monster Hunter 3 for PS3.....Their reason is "high development cost".....

But MGS4 development cost Konami $60 million....And exclusive only for PS3....

Even if they didn`t cancelled MH3 for PS3, I think MGS4 development still higher than MH3.....

What happen ? Are they afraid to take gamble with PS3 ? Or they hate Sony / PS3 with passion ?

I wouldn't say that they hate PS3 or Sony, I'd say that with the rising costs of development that there are some exclusives that will get cancelled. It's a lot easier for Konami to spend the 60 mil as they are more likely to sell way more copies of MGS4 than Capcom could sell of a game like Monster Hunter.

That's just my opinion though......

Well it maybe true about the way MH sells outside Japan but DMC4 was sure to sell well on the PS3 and they took it multiplatform so yeah I'm not sure what the deal is.

True money for third party developers is made with multi platform games.

Konami is much bigger company than many people think. Aside from making games, they make clothing, slot machines (Japan has many casinos, or pachinkos), produce movies, and have other seperate departments. So they do have the money to tackle development costs.

Capcom is nothing like Konami so them being "afraid" to make a game exclusive for the PS3 is not really true. They just have to make up the costs for what they spent and that resorts to going multi-platform.

unless Sony pay them off to make an exclusive, no company is stupid enough to make a PS3 exclusive or 360 exclusive for that matter.

Unlike the last generation in which PS2 was in a dominant market share position, this time PS3 is last place.
