There's a scumbag named CAPCOM who has three girlfriends; Sony, Ninty, and Missy. He always assures each of them that they are the only one for him but he cheats on all three of them all the time. Sony has always been there for him but lately Ninty has lost some weight and seems to be a good time so he is spending more time with her.

Last week the new Monster Hunter movie came out and Sony was so excited. CAPCOM and Sony had gone and seen all the Monster Hunter movies before on the day they were released and they had always had a great time. But on the night of the premier CAPCOM calls Sony and says, "We have to talk, I have to work late and I can't make it to the movie." Sony thinks, oh that's OK, I guess I'll just see it by myself. But when Sony gets to the movie theater she finds that CAPCOM didn't have to work late at all! He's cheating on her and he went to the movie with Ninty instead!

Sony is shocked, after all the things she did with CAPCOM, all the good times they had together. She remembers when CAPCOM was just some broke loser and she was the only one that would give him the time of day. She even connected him with all the leads that he used to get his fancy high paying job and his promotions and made him into the big shot that he was today. Without Sony, CAPCOM would just be some broke bum but CAPCOM felt no loyalty. She even remembered before when CAPCOM had strayed and gone to the Biohazrd 4 movie with Ninty. However, Ninty wasn't much fun back then and CAPCOM came back with his tail between his legs and the newly released Biohazard 4 DVD a few months over and they renewed their relationship.

So, Sony confronted CAPCOM. "You *******, how could you just pull the rug out from under me with this slut Ninty! After all I've done for you! Sure she may seem hot RIGHT NOW but I've always been there for you and THIS is how you repay me!!!"

So CAPCOM replied, "Sony, baby, you know you're really important to me, Ninty and I are just friends, that's all."

"Bull****!" said Sony, "if you were just friends then why wouldn't you have invited me as well. There is clearly more to this."

"I swear, we're just friends," pleaded CAPCOM, "look, let me make this up to you, next week I'll surprise you with something really special and then you'll see how much I REALLY care about you. You know I love you Sony!"

Sony was really excited! What would the present be!? She knew that CAPCOM could be really creative at times. Would it be a date to go see Biohazard 5 without that slut Missy hanging on or what. Maybe a new Megaman toy or something completely new. Heck, she would have even accepted an apology card.

The week passed and Sony was full of excitement.

CAPCOM rang the doorbell. "Sony, I thought maybe you and I could go somewhere really special, it's a resort in the Carribean called Lost Planet and it's supposed to be really amazing. We can go there and it can be our special place, somewhere that just the two of us can share. It's going to be..."

And Sony just slammed the door. She knew that more than a year ago Missy and CAPCOM had gone to Lost Planet on a romantic holiday. What kind of a scumbag tries to regive a gift. She had also heard that Lost Planet sucked, the bungalows were infested with giant ants and although it was in the Carribean it snowed there year round. CAPCOM was dead to her, she couldn't believe that he thought that a trip to Lost Planet would seriously make her return to him. What a lying, cheating, gift-regiving scumbag! This has to be the weirdest thread ever.

Capcom used to work with Nintendo before sony even had a console.

Capcom has always been its own publisher/developer and put there games on any console/s they wish, there not like insomniac or naughty dog who are anindependent developer but have there games published by sony(2nd party).

I really do not understand why ps3 only owners are upset with capcom if i only ownd a ps3 i'd be happy with them, there stance on multi-platform development means you still get devil may cry but will also get any lost planet games and probably get any dead rising games, thats 3 instead of 1.

Also Capcom ar in the buisness of making money and software just isnt pulling the profits it should on ps3 take heavenly sword fo insance a really good game best ps3 game so far but only sold 130k(according to npd) in the u.s in over 3 weeks, nowthats por considering thres over 2 millon ps3 ownes in the u.s, it's good buisness to put your games on platforms that have abigger install base and seling big numbers in terms of software.

Things really willnot change untill ps3 sales met publisher expectations.

I donno if it's funny or not, for me it's just a sad truth for Capcom to behave more and more like EA where games they release aren't necessarily polished (all their PC version games). The biggest single fault I see with them is the inability to follow through promises. I can see the need for going mutiplatform, I can see the need to concentrate on different platform in order to maximumize profit, just please don't do it half way through the development when you already said at first it would be for one platform at first. With today's half-hearted attempt for porting another poor title that is Lost Planet to replace Monster Hunter and Okami from the disbanded Clove Studio to wii, they may try their hardest in making profit, but Capcom is no longer the company to be trusted with their news now.

So either way, right now I can see three possible outcome for Capcom:

1) somehow through all their mis-information their actually succed and become EA of Japan, ha, fat chance;

2) port usually ended up meaing medicore qualiy games. Here's hope that they use Wii as their standard for porting, how else are they going to keep up w/ the production cost with the amount of redirection and porting they are doing if they are barely making profit already.

3) join Sega as yet another company that utterly failed in their multi-platform stradegy and become another medicore publisher.

I guess I can play wait and see, but honestly, Capcome is digging a hole faster then i can give them credit for.

I don't see anything wrong with Capcom trying to expand and grow..... that's what successful businesses do.

True I like the old model when Capcom would give each console an exclusive, GC: Resident Evil, Viewtiful Joe, Xbox: Dino Crysisi: PS2: Onimusha and Devil May Cry. But now days that model is just not very profitable.

I think capcom is just trying to be smart and release multplatform games cause they lost alot of money staying console exclusive on certain consoles. Like what happened with re4 on the gamecube. Does capcom release alot of sucky compilations? Yea, but the games they really focus on turn out pretty good.
