Cashing in on Michael Jackson's Death

I knew that this was bound to happen but this is just bad (no pun intended). For EA Battlefield Heroes, a game set in WWII, they are releasing MJ costumes for a fee. Good guys get Smooth Criminal outfit, bad guys get the Bad outfit. This is so pathetic I want to boycott EA.

It's not just EA. There are alot of companies, shops etc. who try to cash in on Michael Jackson stuff like cd's, dvd's, costumes. kind of sad but that's just the business way

This is how the world of business works. It's just like the news networks that only report on things that keep there rateings high. It's always about money in the end.

Selling a Greatest Hits album is fine, t-shirts or other clothing is okay, movies and other stuff I can see...but a video game character that has absolutely nothing to do with the game or even the genre...who was the guy that spoke up that said "We can have people dress up like MJ to kill each other and charge them for it." The only thing that I could even see as acceptable in the Video Game industry is if MM made a MJ tribute level on LBP for free or releasing Moonwalker as a greatest hit.

Not surprising, though still very disgusting.

That is what most people do, they make profit by someones death or secret which is really disgusting.

It didn't take two days for me to see someone sell Michael Jackson shirts after his death. I was really hoping nothing like this would happen in games/entertainment (other than maybe LBP).

My mate just went and bought an MJ record for £1 from a charity shop. Its now going for more than £80 on EBAY. I'm jealous...

That I can understand and the fans can enjoy the music. I would be lying if I said I didn't play MJ-Bad on Guitar Hero for kicks after the news.

People keep saying how disgusting these people are for capitalizing on his death but its simple supply and demand. So if the people selling are sick, the people buying are just as bad. I manage a CD/DVD store and the day after his death, we sold out of all his stuff, and Jackson 5 stuff and keep getting special shipment in and selling it right away.

UPDATE - Yup, was an administrative oversight. EA contacted us this morning to let us know that the outfits will indeed be free.
