I'm surprised there isn't more PSP user interest in this game. This is the type of game that's going to push me over the edge and make me get a PSP. Anyone else looking forward to Castlevania on the PSP?

Everyone is interested in this game, it's just that there hasn't been any info released lately. From what has been released about it, it looks like it will be a really great game.

yes I am crazy about getthing this. It definately influenced me in getting a PSP a few weeks back. The only thing I don't like about it is that I heard that SOTN is only going to be playable in 4:3 aspect ratio. This is too small IMO. I don't care if it gets stretched to fit widescreen. The screen is small enough so that it won't look pixelated.

If SOTN is indeed only playable in 4:3 when it ships then I will go through other means to be able to play it widescreen =)

I'll still buy the PSP game because rondo is more than worth it.

I played the first Castlevania in 1987 when I was 11 years old. I've been a huge fan ever since. I'm totaly looking forward to this one on the PSP. I was watching techtv g4, and saw a preview of Castlevania DX on the PSP, I bought a PSP that day. I never had a chance to play Rondo or Symphony so I'm geeked for this one.

in an interview Igashi said he was "tricked" into making a Castlevania title for the PSP.  I guess he didn't really enjoy making it, but atleast we're getting a great title here once again on the PSP.

The original SOTN for the PS1 was a great game and is still a fun game tp play.  I'll looking forward to it with the extra content and such and the extra details that are suppose to be in the backgrounds and all.  I think this will be a good additional not only to the PSP but also to the Castlevania series.

I still play SOTN on the 360, but taking it along with me would be superb. I can't wait.

I didn't get a chance to play SOTN when it was released, so I'm definitely looking forward to playing one of the most acclaimed games from the PS1 era.

Sotn, while a great game, is 10 years old so im hardly moved by that news. And Rondo of Blood, while a great game, isnt a Metroidvania style game, which are the best Castlevania games imo. A new true sequel to Sotn on the PSP wouldve been better imo.

A true sequel would have been better without question but at this point a remake of the original classic version will do.  Hopefully they use it a marketing test to see if the interest exists to do a true sequel but who knows.  I guess only the developers.

From what I've read the konami is building the grafix engine from the ground up for rondo of blood. I hope they put it to some more use after this game comes out.

[edit]

nvm just checked it out......i didn't realize that dracula x chronicles consisted of rondo and sotn.

This game saved my life.  It gives me the reason not to get the Wii since Wii was getting PC Engine games on their VC.  It is the only game why I would get a Wii, but not anymore.

Thanks Konami.

Yeah, I'm in the same situation.  It's one of the few PS1 games I never got a chance to play, so you can bet that I'm really anticipating Dracula X for SotN alone.

Hellz Yea I am looking forward to this game!!! I had to wait 14 years to play the Rondo of Blood and I want it. :)
My only thing for SOTN is if it will contain the extras found on the Sega Saturn. Besides, I wanna play as Maria anyway like you can in Nocturne in the Moonlight (Import Saturn version of Symphony of the Night).
