Hi guys,

Outcasted here.

A while back, I wrote asking for advice on getting a good game. Well, i took your advice and I kinda waited it out. Pre - finals just ended and with my (limited) stash of extra cash, i was able to pick up GoW3 and FF13, both great games in their own rights. GoW3 was more of the pick up and play game I was looking for, althought FF13 is... well... your typical RPG. I've got enough moolah for one title, which i was originally saving for Red Dead Redemption (Damn you, Rockstar! But hey, take your sweet time with it. Hehe).

Whaddya guys think? Just cause 2? Bayonetta? or Bad Company 2? I was thinking of getting JC2 because i was a huge fan of Mercenaries (God bless Pandemic's soul), Bayonetta, because, well, it's bayonetta. BC2, well, my friend (another Medical student) says it's pretty good... but Im not sure.

Advice? hehe

Thanks again, guys.

You can't really go wrong with any of those choices. Bad Company 2 is more if you want a great online shooter, JC2 if you want an open world game with tons to do and Bayonetta if you want a great action game. There is a demo for JC2 and Bayo if you want to try them.

I'd say for the casual go with Just Cause 2, its pretty easy to get into and it has alot to it (especially for the cash strapped) and if you're a mercs fan than thats even more reason... Bayonetta is alright, unless you really liked the DMC series i'd rent first... and unless you're big into online FPS skip BFBC2 as there is almost nothing for single player...

Thanks guys.

Wasn't a big fan of DMC, anyway. So i guess I'll just pass on bayonetta.

What's this i hear about JC2 not being as "polished" as they say? Repetitive and all that?

I agree here. While Ive only played the demos for Just Cause and Bayonetta, there is promise in both of those titles. It just depends on what youre in the mood for. Bad Company 2 has great online that can get addictive and a decent yet....mm short single player campaign.

Edit: The only title I pre-ordered this year was Bad Company 2 and I wasnt disappointed. The other 2 you mentioned however are more in the rent column for me.

The gunplay is somewhat weak, and the driving mechanics just downright suck. Other than that it's great, and you can use the grappling hook to get anywhere.
