Change PSN ID. Fight for Freedom!

I was told by someone in one of my blogs that you can have PSN gold membership, and that the forums here and at Sony are littered for requests.

I want to change mine, it's getting old and it's not that creative. I just don't want to lose all my trophies again, especially since I traded Skate 2 and dumped NFS Undercover.

If everyone emails Sony and tries to convince them to add a feature, maybe it will work out, so get emailling, I've already done it, so you do it as well.

I totally agree with you guys.

It should be available for us to change our PSN ID, even if had to pay, I would pay gladly, because I'm getting a little tired of my PSN ID.

I don't know if I'm wrong or not, but I've been told that Xbox live had this feature, you have to pay 5 dollars or give some points and you can change your ID

Yeah, that's why you need to think of a name that you are not going to get bored of. Sony haven't been secretive about you not being able to change your PSN name so if you create an account and decide you don't like it your only option is to start again.

Personally, I've used the name "Grieves" on and off for the last 25 years so it's something I'm happy to keep but I do find it funny when people give themselves PSN names which they are obviously going to regret later.

Having said that, I don't see any reason why Sony can't impliment Unique ID numbers for accounts and then have a display name which doesn't have to be unique.

dunno if it would be good if we were allowed to change nicks , i wouldnt even know who is who from my psn friends if they'd constantly changed their name.

seriously what do you lose if you start a new psn account with a different name , what benefit to gaming do these trophies give you?

however dont expect sony to listen to their community , they didnt even give us the option to use the old xmb theme after the controverse 3.00 theme change

I had two accounts before this one I'm in now, but if I want to change my name again I'm not going to dump 4 or 5 platiniums because I don't have an option that actuallyis already available to others (Xbox live)

I guess it would be a good feature for people that hate their name. I had a stupid name that I used to use for all the websites and places I went before (I made it when I was 10 of course it was stupid), but now I just stick with Ospov. It's original, easy to remember/say, no numbers, and it's never taken ;)
