How do I check my hard drive on my PS3? I mean how do I see everything that's installed? Because I only own GTA IV and GT5, got a couple of demos installed and around 200 songs, and only 6000 MB left, I have the 40GB PS3 version.

well, that actually sounds about right. The OS uses about 5-6 gigs of your HD. If your songs are at a high bitrate 200 can take up a few gigs, demos are usually a gig and a half to 2 gigs each, gtaiv and gt5 prologue ake up alot of space, depending on if you have the disc or dl version of gt5. plus 6 gigs left. thats aweful close.

Ah thanks, yeah I use TVersity for all my other songs on my PC, but just got some of my favorite artists put on my PS3 for when my PC would be shut down or something. And lol got a lot of demos, think over 15 demos, well thanks for the help, so there's no way to see the stuff on the harddisk? Like seeing whats on a PS2 Memory Card, something like that.

i got the 60gb version of the ps3 around july , and up untill a month or so ago i had only 10 gb's left, because of music, demos and other stuff
but luckly i had money enough to buy a 250gb HDD i recommend you do the same:)

Mate all you need to do is go to your local computer store and get yourself a laptop (2.5 inch) HDD. Make sure it is a SATA HDD. Have a look at the back of the manual for your PS3 and it shows you how to replace it, otherwise google it. It's dead easy. I replaced my 40GB drive with a 160GB drive 2 days after I bought my PS3. Best thing I ever did. Good Luck. :)

There is a way to see with much better detail - I know this was asked several times and people gave the answer. I just didn't care enough to remember it. Search the forum - search function on top and you should find the answer

Also, be sure to uninstall those games you don't play anymore/much.

Cant find it anywhere. @ mattyrowden: Thanks man! I think I'm going to get a 160GB or a 120GB hard drive later, depends on if i'd rather get a new game or a second controller

Hehe yeah, just found out, thanks. But how can I see some kind of a list in detail of what i've got installed etc on my PS3? Would be really useful. And whats the best way to make a backup of what I have installed now and put it on the new hard drive I'm getting? And do you think the 40GB 2,5" Hard Drive thats in my PS3 now would fit in my PC? :)
