I was wondering. They are trying to make the new GTA as realistic as possible, but in this whole New York City like world, are there gonna be kids walking around? Cause it's seems like you'd need that to make a realistic game, but I dont think Rockstar would be able to make something that offensive. As anyone heard anything about this? Cause I mean if they did include children I feel like the game would be banned right away.
I really doubt there will ever be kids in a GTA game. They get sued enough as it is without being blamed for kids pulling AK-47s on their classmates because they saw it in a game.
They discussed including children in this edition specifically because they wanted to improve the overall realism. Ultimately, they decided against it for the same reason they decided against including planes: they're afraid of the backlash from ultra-conservative non-gamers.
Look, Im all for running down innocent people with a hijacked minivan but something about killing children just doesnt sit right with me. There just shouldnt be that kind of option in a videogame, its the point where I draw a line.

You're "all for" killing innocent people, but it bothers you if they don't meet some arbitrary age requirement? This whole game is about doing the wrong thing. That's the whole basis of its appeal. And there's nothing wrong with that because it doesn't hurt anyone.

Of course! If there weren't I'd probably have to... Not kill children that turn into jackass adults by using my time machine and my Super Special Awesome deck of Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Which is insane :P
wait why dont they have flyable planes in the game or missions that involve flying a plane instead of a helicoptor?? btw the game is are twisted enough kids wouldnt hurt nor animals, but we live in aamerica wherepeople cant seperate gta and reality.

You, sir, are questioning the human ethics system. Whether you like it or not, we have a thing against killing newborns or young children. If adults and children lives were valued the same, then there would be a heap load more of children murders and deaths than there are now.
I wish they would include children. That would be awesome. However, I don't think they would ever do that for the same reason that you normally don't see kids getting mutilated in mainstream movies.

If they ever make it they should make it like this: When you press the ''fire'' button if aiming at a kid your character could say something like ''No,what am i thinking i cant harm a child!'' or ''I cant do it,ive done bad things but what would i become if i murder an innocent child.'' or something like that.Im sure that if they do all gta craracters wouldt murder a child,well except Claude.He feels no regret for his deeds,no pitty.Im sure even Tommy wouldnt hurt a child.There were some kids in Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood but you couldnt kill them they had infinitive health!In AC brotherhood i found a child at the docks crying and i came behind him-10 meters behind him and i shot him with th crossbow,pistol,doison gun i even threw a spear at him...nothing hapend he just doesnt die and nothing happens..the spear just fell down and didnt get through his flesh..so if rockstar ever does this(which they will not do) it should be like this.A little of topic but im pretty sure i saw zombie kids get sniper by Chuck Green in one of the dead rising 2 trailers.Isnt that Twice as worse?Mutated children getting killed.They also had necromorphs that were made out of babyes and little children in dead space.Now that's sick!

I was trying to remember if there were kids in the first Carmageddon PC game (it's like death race 2000). I remember going into stadiums and running over football teams, but can't recall if kids were included.
I don't think it would be a bad thing to put children in a violent video game. I mean look at movies like "Role Models." Just make a code in the game where kids can't be killed or just add a little kid character specifically into the story/cutscenes. They did it in Fallout 3. From what I remember you can't kill kids in Fallout 3 but they are around. So why can't they do it in GTA, RDR or even the new L.A. Noire? It "IS" morally wrong I think to want to go around killing virtual kids. There is seriously something wrong with you if your into that crap. Same thing with killing animals that aren'tfor hunting like dogs or animals. One step closer to serial killer in my opinion. Kind of a little weird that some people want kids in these games. Your sick.
Actually, if there was some way to make it possible for you not to be able to attack children, or their parent/guardian that are with them, then it would make the game more realistic not sure though in this type of game, where it's highly inappropriate to have minors as characters, Rockstar would ever take such a big risk.
But on the opposite side of that coin is the fact that it is just a game, but most of the time reality sucks and games are a release from the everyday BS of real life (yes some may have a basis in reality, but those by-and-large are games such as medal of honor where you would expect it to occur), so you'd not want it to be that realistic.
