http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Hard+Drives/Laptop/SATA/320Gb+Toshiba+SATA+2.5%22+Laptop+Drive+?productId=31463 This one is pretty good, my friend got it and it's running smoothly. I wouldn't get a 7200 rpm if considering 5400 rpm slow because it might heat up your PS3.

You need a 2.5" SATA hard drive @ 5400RPMs. You can get a 500GB on Ebay for about $100, and I believe that's as big as they get.

Nothing, every PS3 has the same slot for hard drives.

You want a 2.5" SATA 5400RPM HDD.

The drive has to be standard size (ie its height cant be larger than 9.5mm) otherwise it wont fit.

A 7200RPM drive will work. It will give you faster access speed but will also produce more heat.

You can find a detailed guide HERE.Oh and make sure you keep the old drive for warranty pourposes.

(if you have to send you Playstaiton in for repair under warranty you will need to put back in the original HDD)
