Chrono Break was in the works but they cancelled it and I've already sent like, 50,000,000 letters to them about it and all I get is a lousy "Squaresoft is not planning to go any further with this franchise blah blah blah kiss my ass" crap.

IT"S NOT A SEQUEL! Its been said over and over. It takes place in the same "universe" or "fantasy world" but its more like a side story, not a sequel. If it was a true sequel it would have the same characters. And since it doesn't its not. Final Fantasy 1---- Final Fantasy 2 similar name, same company, (cant remember if its in a similar universe) but they aren't sequels Chrono Trigger---- Chrono Cross similar name, same company, same universe but not a sequel. Yes both games need a true sequel or a proper revision/update. Porting it from SNES to DS is not a remake its a rehash and we don't need that crap.

It's not a sequel in the story sense, but it is the successor to Chrono Trigger.
According to Chrono Trigger DS having theDream Devourer as the final boss and the cutscene where you see Lucca finding a baby which grows up to be Kid. It is a sequel.
