Hey guys, I've had the PS3 for almost a week now and it truly is a dust magnet lol. Can you guys recommend a safe and effective method of cleaning the vents and stuff? I don't wanna damage my ps3 by cleaning it incorrectly cuz $500 a large investment. Thanks!

I usually just dust off the top, and take compressed air and spray in the front vents beside the USB ports. I dont get it too close though, like 6 inches away and spray.

Alot of dust could fall off of that cloth I would think... and the cloth wouldnt help dissipate heat.

That's just my opinion, but I think that's a bad idea.

I just use an air compressor that I have from when I used to use spirographs. With that I clean all the holes (USB, Memory Cards, back ports) and then I blow the dust throught the vents (in all 4 sides) and then, I blow the cover dust and wipe it with a silk cloth. The cover will scratch, this material is not scratch proof and is very delicate so it will always get scratched.
