I've been thinking about getting a PS3 in the near future and was wondering if there are any good co op games out that aren't on the 360 since i already have one. or any other great games that could justify getting a PS3 besides lair and heavenly sword?

My roomate, boyfriend and I enjoy playing co-op games on the Xbox 360... and recently my roomate picked up a PS3. We noticed that there is a trend where games on the PS3 don't have a split screen feature and I don't understand why that is. For example Call of Duty 3 on Xbox 360 has a split screen feature but not on the PS3 version. Same thing with a lot of the racing games which is kind of silly as I think racing games are a lot more fun to play with a friend.
So what's the deal with PS3 releases losing split screen features? Are we to become anti-social?

I think that is because many games are 360 games that are ported over to the PS3. They dont want to spend much time getting split screen to run at a decent framerate. I mean I dont think split screen matters much anymore so its really not worth delaying the game any longer.
