I keep getting this on cod 4 for ever ! how the hell can i make it stop i wanna play call of duty modern warfare online but i cant because it never loads :S please help me
I used to get this quite a lot, when I did I'd just fiddle with it for a bit, like logging out of PSN and quitting the game, turning the console off then back on again and logging back in to PSN. I think that used to sort it, and if that didn't then I'd just log out of PSN and play something else for half an hour or so, then go back on CoD and log into PSN again.
I always found CoD4 to be a bit fussy like this, but I've never known it to happen on CoD:WaW... funny that.

what are you talking about. this happens to me all the time in COD WAW. every other game once the game ends it frezzes when it setting up appears on the screen
Nope, never had it happen in WaW. Not saying it DOESN'T happen, just saying that it has never happened to me personally.
But on CoD4 after a certain point, maybe three months ago every other time I tried to go on MP it would do the same thing, 'Downloading Game Settings...' and just stay like that, and not let me on. But if I just logged out of PSN and switched off the console, then restarted it and logged back in, it usually worked fine. If it didn't then I'd get bored and go play something else offline for a bit, and come back to it later.
That "Downloading Game Setting" thing in COD4 got SOO annoying that I just stop playing it. Although Im playing COD WAW and I never had a problem with it, hopefully in the future either.
omg I had the exact same problem for weeks for both 5 AND 4. to fix the problem restart your main connection. just turn off your router and turn it back on. my connection on my ps3 got REALLY better, and I never got the 30 minutes of "downloading game settings". it worked for me, and you should try it out. im sorry if it doesn't work for you because the problem really stinks
