Yes COD4 is great IMO, but with MW2 coming up soon, I would suggest waiting to get that.

I would say wait for MW2, it's just around the corner and I feel many CoD4 players will switch over to this game once it comes out :P

It has a very active online, and the single player, aside from being short, is pretty good. It's still worth getting.
