Team Death match if you can kill enough. Best match though is serch and destory (500xp per kill, 250 per assist) or HQ which if you capture the site gets you about 50 points for about every2-4 seconds
I've found the most success with domination. Headquarters could potentially be the best if you have a strong team behind you, and for S&D you have to be an absolute monster to level up fairly quickly. It all really depends and how strong of a player you are, but my recommendation is Domination.
Make sure you set up your secondary weapon to the stela 3. You'll get an additional 150xp for spy/counter spyplane or 400 xp for helicopters when you shoot them down. over the course of a match it will add up.
I'm 11th prestige right now and I find that CTF is one of the best game modes if you have a good team behind you. One person holds the flag and helps get kills while everyone spawn traps. Headquarters is also good.
Says something about the quality of the game when you want to play it as little as possible. Black Ops was mediocre at best.

Say what? I'm not sure you're on the same page as TC. Just sayin' OT: I prefer Domination. The biggest problem though is when people go in and play like it's TDM. The objective is to capture and hold as many flags as possible for as long as possible. But, if you have a team that plays the right way you can earn some serious points. Another good way to earn points is to switch your load-out often. That way you can complete the easier challenges for each weapon and such. By switching during a round you can earn a ton of points. I've had a match that I earned over 10,000 points.
