COD multiplayer stopped working.

I can no longer log on to COD for multiplayer. It just freezes at "Downloading Game Settings". I tried to create a splitscreen match and a LAN match and it froze at the same point in the loading bar.

WTF?!?!??!!

I think this is due to 2.0, but I can't remember for sure whether I played it last night after I downloaded the (****ING USELESS) 2.0 patch.

Anyone else having a similar experience? First Uncharted demo not working, now this. I'm so pissed.

it doesnt have anything to do with 2.0 i played last night fine

i got the same DL thing today, then it finally let me in but there were no matches, so i loged off and back and it now says "you must be connected to the ps newtwork" (which i am) so yea its screwy right now

Seriously. This update is such a pile of ****. It brings back memories of Ultima Online and WoW, where you'd come home on Friday, and download some patch that they obviously never tested that totally ****s the entire game up. I just can't believe they actually released a firmware update that is not only useless and doesn't move the PSN forward, it actually destroys everything.

I am so fed up with Sony right now I'm on the verge of getting rid of this ****ing box.

IW servers aredown, this problem has nothing to do with the frimware update, i was playing fine with 2.0 until today

It isn't the 2.0 update. I was playing from 3-4pm EST and it worked fine on multiplayer. I tried again at about 7.30pmEST and it said I have to be logged into the PSN to play multiplayer (which I was). So right now it is down. But it isn't because of 2.0.

It may have worked after 2.0 but I can't help but think it still has something to do with it, some kind of a delayed afteraffect, because of all the other stuff not working or working at half-strength since the patch. Everything is slower to load, there is a second of delay after I click an icon, the PS store stopped working for like 2 hours last night... I'm just so mad right now I need some kind of a scapegoat. This ruins my whole night.

I paid $1000 for my PS3 to get it when it first came out, while I lived in Asia. I have done nothing but support them through bad decision after bad decision, delay after delay. I work in a retailer where I have faithfully represented their product and sold countless PS3's. In return, what do I get? Resistance locking me into the JPN region, even though my IP clearly shows that I am in NA. Flop after flop, not just from GS, but in general. Horrible press coverage. Almost no marketing push whatsoever. Warhawk being a sloppy mess from the start, and not fixing any of their issues in over 2 months. Nobody seems to even know about this game. It isn't in stores, it probably won't be in stores again. Same with Eye of Judgment. No support for it whatsoever. My store got 8 copies of it, and there aren't any on the way. Nobody sells the booster packs. Motorstorm releasing 2 sets of DLC to try and milk me after I paid $70 for half a game in the first place. 2.0 firmware being a useless load of crap. Uncharted demo region-locking, which probably won't be fixed until the game is out, and stupid me, I'll buy it anyway. Now COD being down on a Friday night due to PSN errors.

It's just one disappointment after another, and there's only so much I can take.

It's not just COD being down that I'm angry over. Scroll up and I have a laundry list of complaints, this COD problem is just bringing them all to the forefront for me. The last straw on the camels back, so to speak.

well sorry to hear about your problems, i havehad the ps3 sinceday one and never had problem with it, execpt maybe it froze twice on me sine i got it, beside that i am happy with my ps3.
