COD or Battlefield 4 on PS4?

I'll be upgrading my current gen copy of BF4

I'm 'done' with the arcade style of COD. COD4 is where it ended for me, after that the kill streaks and power up style of play got too boring for me.

I've always been a fan of BF games anyway, so was just waiting for the next one to come along :)

@Wallyh08: Yea, if I buy a second one, I'm thinking it will be BF4. I'm thinking I may wait until Christmas to get it though... and spend time playing Killzone and Assassin's Creed til then. Two shooter will require a lot of time to really dig into.

@haze_blaze: You're right. I'll have BF4 as my shooter, AC4 as my 'story' game if you like and will probably pick up FIFA close to Christmas or in the new year.

Just to point out though, in my opinion it won't matter so much when you get stuck into BF4 - the starting weapons are fantastic and the maps aren't linear as such, but it's still fairly clear where you want to be.

@Wallyh08: I seriously thought about getting FIFA as my sports game, but I went with NBA 2K14 in the end.

That's good to hear about BF4... I absolutely loved BF3, although I played it on PC. I also figure there will probably be an influx of new players to the game around Christmas anyway. I'll pick it up a week or two prior so I'm ready for them :-)

COD engine is still great with little to difference on next gen

However if you've ever wanted to play the true version of 64 player Battlefield than getting a PS4 might be worth it

@ShinjiEx: While I agree that it's not worth getting a PS4 just for COD... It does look significantly better on PS4.

So glad to see this thread. With the current Buy 2 Get 1 Free promotion at Target, I'm also deciding whether to get BF4 or COD4. Which one has better graphical leap on the PS4?
