I haven't encountered any of that yet. I wasn't even aware the general public had even started using the hack yet.

Doubt anything will be done about it since the game is two years old which is unfortunate.

it might take a while for hacks to get into Black ops since treyarch is still supporting the game

and i highly doubt hacks will get into bad company 2 since you have to be host for the hacks to work (well, the hacks ive seen on mw2 you have to be host)

Smells like bull-poop to me. Been playing WaW every day for the last two years and I've never, ever seen anything talked about in this thread. Prove it, or change the subject. This is just more twaddle, bashing the CoD series and hoping to get everyone's panties in a twist.

Knock it off. You're boring the people who actually think for themselves on occasion.

this is the internet, even with proof there is always doubt. I saw it, thats all that matters. Hands up others who have seen this VS those not seen hacking issues. COD4 was rife with people eploiting the map to get outside (why give clipping to external structures? WHY!!?!)

should probably break the news to u then, its not SOny's fault, its the developer (in this case Treyarch, but i think its Infinity Ward who started it all because all the CODs have similar issues and esentially the same source code). because its the dev's fault, these issues and exploits are found across ps3, 360 and PC (unsure about wii...but who cares?)

If there's anyone we should blame it's the hackers. We need something like VAC or punkbuster updated on the PS3. Some sort of anti cheat system for people who go take their mods online. I'm sure Sony are going to start sending out ban waves.

There's also "Obama is a Muslim". I saw that on the Internets, so it's got to be real and happening. I saw a guy pleasuring a chinchilla using a banana on the Internets, so that's true too. The Prime minister of Zimbabwe wears yellow Chuck Taylors, I saw that on the Internets... True Dat, too.

Why don't you try telling CoD players the Sky Is Falling. That one hasn't been used in awhile.

Look, here's the thing. It's a VIDEO GAME. Get Over It. SOON. If there are cheaters and they cause you so much angst, then find something else to DO. Find another GAME, at LEAST. But try to grow up a bit. Complaining on a forum is going to do absolutely nothing. Not a tiny, inch of satisfaction will you gain from running around a video game forum yelling about how unfair it has become. There are much, MUCH larger issues you could devote this energy to (including but not limited to A DIFFERENT GAME, which is what I will do if I find people upsetting the precious little apple cart of flippin' CoD.

Who. CARES???? Seriously?

Ramping one way or another about this game or that game being too popular or someone making SO much money (which is just sour grapes, get off your *** and make your own fortune instead of coveting/ criminalizing everyone else's lot in life) is patently pointless. If you choose to waste your time on the planet yowling over what could have been, or how great something USED to be, then you will miss out on a myriad of possibilities and oppertunities, and look like a closed-minded old-fart punk in the process.

Your choice. Peace.

People have a right to complain. Get's the message out that there's a problem and and a serious one if multiple people go on gaming forums to complain. If they didn't would anything be done? Sony and developers need to collect information on the problem at hand. It's our job to complain. It's natural to do something instead of being pushed around. You want something done go do it. It probably would be more affective in the official COD forums but at least he's doing something.

Yes, or perhaps a letter to the people who made the game, but flapping about it HERE, does nothing. Not one thing, aside from making uninformed, less balanced people, start freaking out about it when there's nothing that will happen.

My post was succinct: Get Over It. I stand by that. Either go to the source with your petition, place your time and efforts effectively, or move along. But yammering about it like a dog hit by a car on Gamespot is a waste. And again, your call, you may waste the time you have on this rock as you see fit. I just thought I might try to show the more elevated thinkers who are participating in this whip-up the error of their ways. But posting this "information" on this particular forum is pointless and boarders on irresponsible. One could argue the point that, by posting this "information", the TC will prompt a certain ratio of Gamespot users who have less than a moral compass to go out and seek said cheats, further exacerbating the problem.

Do what you like, I'm not your parents or the police. But if this really DOES make such a stink in your life, I would think you would like to change it. And spouting off here, changes not a whit. You want to be helpful AND be on Gamespot? Try getting a petition together and posting a link for gamers to sign up. I'll be first to do so, because I like playing CoD (it's not the ONLY game I play, but I have been sited on occasion).

Do something which actually places force on the issue. Don't just ****. Anyone can ****.

megaspiderweb09

I'm calm, Spider (hello, BTW, and happy New Year to you and all your folks in that part of the globe!!! :D )

Perhaps I seem a bit terse, and for that I apologize profusely. But I am stalwart on my point: Flap one's gums in a direction which will accomplish something. In this case, I am trying to change gamers' views on what and where force can or should be applied. I don't mean to anger anyone, but an angry mob needs to focus, not stand in the public square scaring the general public or causing other disturbance in an effort to right a wrong.

Like I said, start a petition to send to Activision, TreyArch, the Online Gamer Player Union, Bozo The Clown, and former prime minister Thatcher and I will be the first one to sign. I'm with you on protecting our playground from the infidel hackers, but if we're going to get this mob riled up, let's give it some direction because otherwise it just makes 14-year-olds post crazy talk about the end of civilization.

90% of the hackers are little kids, so theres no real point in worrying about them hacking any other games because all they play is Call of Duty. As long as they stick to that game its fine by me. Although it sucks for people who do play em.

Again, I play WaW almost every day for an hour or so, and I have yet to see any of what's reported here, and I don't think it should prevent people from playing... I don't take it nearly as seriously as some. I've gone Prestige so many times in WaW & BlOps that I could honestly care less if I get punked. My stats mean nothing to me, it's more about getting together with my online mates and having a laugh. We get six people partied up and go into a game just to laugh and talk, we barely play.

I know there are people out there who take it very seriously, though... so I'm sorry if anyone's leaderboard hopes are being crushed by possible cheats. I don't know what's more sad though; People who cheat online, or people who get into a rage over it happening.

Personally I'm more outraged at the genocide in Africa, and the horrors being perpetrated on the women of that continent.

That is one funny mate and yeah i do agree people shouldnt take the whole thing seriously cause i didnt,i just found them hilarous and amusing lol.

I do worry bout serious things in this world cause if you ask me,those serious issues like the one you mentioned are been ignored alot
