Although the game will do well because of the name and the (hopefully) strong single player, I don't think the multiplayer will be as populated because of the over-saturation of WWII games in the market, so its just gonna be a lot more empty (after the 1-2 month surge of new players, they will probably go back to 4 or go to R2/KZ2). Those are just my thoughts.
the WWII games are getting old, Call of duty 4 is great because it use an own storyline, modern weapons, tactics, and modern action: modern warfare. and the multiplayer is really solid ( weapon customize) it would be hard to apply in a WWII game instead to do another WWII( against the japanese) game they should go a steep further like "call of duty 5: Future Warfare" or somethig like that with some great story and new weapons and command options( something like rainbow six).......the multiplayer could became with more customize options and new strategies and play modes something like "rescue the vip" one of the player in the team may be the vip and we must rescue and take it to a extration point but the other team are not going to make it aesy...is a shame that the developers don't have any new idea .
yes, alot of people that are playing COD4 will switch to COD5.. although COD4 is so huge it won't make to much of a difference, i'm really looking forward to COD5...
Of course ppl will leave cod4. Who would wanna play an old game? Although I think cod4 set a high standard, ppl will most likely move to the many other FPs N shooter games commin out. AKA Resistance 2, KIllzone 2, socom rather than cod5
