90% of what I play is headquarters. I'm the guy that rushes in to capture the HQ. So, I die A LOT, but I also get quite a few kills. I know my k/d ratio is below 1.0 for sure. Maybe it is around 0.70-0.80 or something??? I have no clue, since I really don't care what it is.
Between capturing HQs and kills, most of the time I have the high score on my team. So, I guess I care more about score, since it leads to XP, than my k/d ratio.
i just got my kd over 1.0 but i dont think ive played that long yet, only on my 2nd go through of the medals, i think im at about 3000 kills and deaths
i think im pretty good tho, im at the point where when i play tdm i expect to be first and if im not its wtf. but i prefer sabotage
Mine is 1.69...I believe I'm over 15,000 kills now, or at least I'm close to that many though. My win ratio is horrible though. I get thrown into so many games that are just ending and take the loss. I don't really care either way though, they are just numbers.
Well, mine is 2.36 ATM. Started out at around 1.50 and has been steadily increasing since. But anything above 1.0 is pretty good. If you like to risk yourself for the team to win then it being under 1.0 is alright too.
Ill admit my K/D ratio isnt that good at .93, but I think alot of that has to do with my play style. Im the guy who runs in the room with a cooked nade and martyrdom and blows up guys but also dies. I take alot of risks...sometimes they pay off, sometimes they dont. I dont really care as long as my team wins!!
imo i reckon if your kdr is over 1.50 you are a good player between that and 1 is allright and below 1 is just no offence to any but not good at all. but you dont need a good kdr to be a good team player. mines 1.92 with aprx 22000 kills

Your k/d isn't bad. You are close to 1.0 so that's not bad at all. Have faith in your skill man!
I'd say anything over 1.0 is good, because it means you kill more than you get killed. I forget what mine is, but I know it's over 1.0.YourDaddy88

i have 19k kills. i'm kinda a kamikaze player though, it usualy works out, but i'll have my bad streaks too. worst i ever did K/D ratio in a match was .50 though. best i eve did was 23/1 it sucked, i died right at 18 kills (1 more and i would have broken my streak)
Also I am 10th prestige it only took me about 2 days play lots of S and D also to get more kills play HQ get about 100-130 points then stop just dont let the other team get it and rape them for about 10-15 min when me and my team does this we all get about 40-80 kills no more than 5-10 deaths
My K/D ratio is about 1.17 or maybe a little better. Most of my games are team deathmatch, and I love to snipe. When I snipe I tend to get less kills then if I ran around like mad. A lot of the ratio comes down to what game type you play and what weapon style you use.
My ratio always hovers over 1.04 and that's only because I use all the weapons to level up my Prestige. If I didn't use all the weapons my ration would be higher.
IMO anything over 1 is excelent cause you are killing more than you die. Anything over 2 points to u being either a boring sniper, camper or only play TDM all of which, to me, make you lame. The best guy ive ever seen play only has a 1.69. Anyhoo Im more for the wins than kills.

7 Days in - stopped playing now though - got boring. You obviously camp or are playing noobs, or have the weak play style of sitting back letting ur team do all the work (in modes like HQ, Sabatoge, Domination). FYI the guy im talking about is in the top 1000 and on my buddy list in my clan.
I am a 10/55 and i have a 1.87. but the thing is that i had a rough start when first picked up cod so i began with a OK KD in general (round 1 - 1.40). but once i started to get cod down, i hooked up with cod4 "celebrities" like socrack and some other high ups cuz they knew that KD dosnt honestly mean anything, and it couldnt be more true. thing is that if you have a kd above 1, then on average you do more killing than dying, thus benefitting your team obviously. But you have to be true to that Ratio in any situation as well. in a high stakes GB, if you can't provide more beneficial aspects to your team as compared to neagtive, you basically proved to everyone that you cannot stand for what your ratio accounts for. and that's the beauty of having a KD of 1.5 or higher. becuase then it shows you compensated for your deaths by at least a considerable portion in most situations.
I am only typing so much becuase rating a player by his kill to death ratio can be both very enlightening or misleading. becuase it isnt ur KD ratio that saves the game when it comes down to the last few kills/seconds, but rather the players ability to analyze a situation and act on in a way that benefits the well being of the team as a whole.

by the way, will the coming map pack work on various PSN account on 1 PS3?
For instant, I have 2 PSN ID on my PS3 right now, 1 is for the US PSN, the other is for the JP PSN, the problem is that I only have a credit card in the JP one and I play COD4 on my US account, if I buy it off the JP PSN, will I be able to use those maps in my US account or I have to start playing from the begining with the JP one ?

Not true, I move around, kill, and do what I have to do. I play TDM and Domination, and my K/D ratio is always high. I just watch where Im going, use my UAV, and make sure I don't run into a place where I know I will die in 2 seconds. I know a guy named Zeddicus, his K/D ratio is about 2.3, he runs in to battle and murders everyone lol, I know if I did that, Id die right away. He's top 100..not 1000, so imagine.
