COD4 online system freeze

I asked this the other day but it seemed nobody understood the topic. About 50 percent of the time when I play an online multiplayer game on COD4, the screen freezes and the system locks up. I have to manually turn off the system from behind and then restart the system. For clarification, the disk is clean...COD4 doesnt lock up at any other time (no lock up in single player, etc)...it is only when I play online with this game....I assume it is a server problem and I am hoping I am not the only one that this happens to.

P.S- for those that told me to take the game back and get another...thats not the issue (plus I bought the game the day it came out so you cant just return an open game and get another) I dont think its the disk..I think its the online server. Hopefully I am not alone. Thanks.

first of all your not resetting your PS3 the right way when it freezes. Your suppose to hold down the power button on the front for more than 10 secs. Turning it off from the back messes up your PS3.

COD4 servers have are crap now, they have a habit of freezing your ps3 so its not the system.

Honestly, I'm probably going to trade COD4 in once SOCOM comes out cuz I'm pretty sure I won't be playing two military shooters, especially since I had COD4 on release for the 360 so it is in fact getting a little played out.ThaDirtySouth

Hopefully Socom doesn't get screwed up either. Since it's made by a different company this time, I hope it'll be better. Socom 3 was just terrible beyond belief.

Actually all I've heard that it's was based off 2. Which was the better half of 1 and 3 lol I just hope I'll have my Socom back when it comes out.
