COD4 or Socom Confrontation which will be better

Socom looks like it'll be half assed.

But I think COD4 is looking really good.

Well I'm up for Socom Confrontation. If I wanted Modern Multiplayer Action FPS style then Battlefield 2.

Screw story.

The COD4 multiplayer is going to be amazing. Not only will each map have xp, but there will be ongoing xp. Also, the create a player thing adds a somewhat RPG element to the game. Also, I am making a generalization, but I think it is accurate, most people would say that COD is a great multiplayer franchise. SOCOM will be fun, no doubt, but the previews from the beta test of COD4 sounds like it will be amazing.

CoD4 looks like CoD2 in the future. whats the difference other than shiny new graphics, theres still no decent story (that's what i've heard), it's going to be super short, very linear, and one time play through. I want to try something new so i'd prob go with socom, never played a socom game beforejunk56

SOCOM is strictly MP, no SP, so any SP is better then what SOCOM has. (Not ragging on SOCOM, love the game, but it's nowhere near COD4 IMO)

Compare it to Battlefield 2142 and lets see who has worse singleplayer but most likely 2142

In SOCOM, there is no SP(at least with a plot) so yes, one that even has the worst SP, still makes it a better SP then one who does not.

And who said the COD SP is bad? I, for one, think that it is great.

C-O-D-4!!! can't wait for that game. much as i love COD3 multiplayer i think the inclusion of more up to date weaponry and environments will make for one incredible experience. SOCOM? never really been too fussed about that franchise and i cant see that changing from what i've seen.

COD3 is the best multiplayer shooter on ps3 at present (IMO)and COD4 will rock. cant wait to shoot you all (not for real obviously). in fact i'm gonna load up COD3 right now.

Well I compare Socom's SP to 2142' SP

Both dont have plots but the AI in 2142 is either stupid or spam happy.

It is hard to compare two games that have not yet been released. Personally i think COD 4 will be amazing and a new innovating gameplay experience with the perks but what i like about socom is its always been more of a one life per round mentality. Although COD 4 has some game types where this is also the case i am a die hard socom fan and cod 4 will only keep me occupied till socom confrontation is released.

Haha don't even start this bs. Everyone and their mama is waiting for COD4 to drop, but I think Socom:confrontation will last longer because of it's strong fanbase. Socom is almost the #1 selling franchise for sony. Watch how crazy the ps3 sales is gonna be once Socom drops. Still COD4 is still gonna be one of the best MP games until that happens.
