COD4 or warhawk

I want to buy a good online game , I know that a little late ... but what do you think is better , more importantly which one do you think I can get into faster , beacause I'm worried that everybody would be a lot more experienced than me , and that I'd end up being frustrated and feeling kinda lost .

From playing the Warhawk beta, and owning CoD4, Warhawk is more open and there is more variety, but it feels like a wannabe BF2, so if you have BF2 on PC don't bother with Warhawk, CoD4 on the other hand is a fast paced FPS that anyone can get into (a lv 14 owned a 55 yesturday) and it's just pure time killing fun, so I would say you wouldn't really go wrong with either, but CoD4 edges it out by a little.

EDIT: Plus CoD4 has a cool single player mode as well, but it's a full price game, I think Warhawk is like $40.
