It seems to only be happening to me today.

I was playing earlier today and reached level 39. I went off, then back on and found myself at level 38 again. So I played for another 30 minutes or so... got to level 39. I went off - just went back on and WAS AT LEVEL 38 AGAIN!! I also keep losing the challenges that I beat while I am playing. I finished all the Boot Camp challenges earlier, but when I went back on - they were back to what they were!

I don't get how I am gonna rank up, if it keeps reseting each time I stop playing!

Is anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, me too.. very frustrating... I've unlocked the .50 cal Barrett i think 4 times now...

Yeah, it really is an annoyance. But I have so much fun when I play anyways. I just want that dangM14. I love it when I pickit up!

theres a prob somewhere. I played up to level 10 lastnite and tonite I was back at level 1. WTF???

They said if you join a match and quit out of it your rank should reset to what it should be.

I had a problem, not neccessarily with ranking but about 300 kills were taken off my stats. Too bad no deaths were taken off

I had the same problem. Except it also said I need -668 points to level up???? And then I got to -3000 points, came back to play later, back to -668 and lost the challenges I had completed.

Yeah it is a bad thing I had a pretty good kill ratio at 1.8

this is a problem happening to everyone ive been asking around during games so ya it seems like everyone has this problemi havent been playing cod4 online since its been happening because it just frustrates me that this has been goin we just have to hope the developers know about it and are working on a solution and will be fixed soon

in the mean time u could just play the campaign again lol

ive been playing assassins creed since ivehad the cod4 rank problemeven though i beat itand the only thing left to do is just kill random people

im new here but do things usually get fixed fairly quickly like this because i played around 1 in the morning and it was messed up and here we r 24 hours later its still not right. this is horrible i honestly am sorry i wasted my money when the online isnt up to par, or even when not up to par it isnt resolved in a timely manner

ya cod4 online really has some problems such as connection issues when ur loading a game or trying to join one with friends and with this ranking problem the devs really need to fix cod4 online

i hear ya guys i mean i level up 2 levels and did some hard challenges( for me at least) did claymore 2 kills from one and the rpg shot and a few little ones as well. dont u just love doing things over and over?

Same. Is weird, if there was no ranking i would still play, but since there is ranking, I feel like I'm wasting my time playing when what I do isn't being recorded in any way.

I haven't had this problem at all since I got the game at day 1, until today. Yesterday, I played from 44 to 46, and when I started up the game today I was back on 44.

I tried to see if it was fixed today by playing a couple of matches, go back to the single player menu, then back to online menu and in barracks to see my XP. It had changed back to where it was on.

This is a really annoying problem, and you don't want to play that much if you don't know if it will save your stats. I really love the game and would like that this problem got fixed right away.

I will try later today and see if I have any luck.

Hey Everyone --

I see a lot of posts along the lines of, "fix the problem" or "stop ignoring the problem", and I wanted to remind you all that this is not the case. The problems have already been addressed / fixed and are in the upcoming PS3 patch.

Regretfully it takes quite a long time for Patches to go through full testing here at Infinity Ward, at Activision and then at Sony as it goes through Certification.

There is no way to speed up this process, as testing is a very important part of the process. Whenever there is a change in the status or an update on when you can expect it, I will of course be here to let you know. However, at this time the patch is still going through that necessary testing / certification process.

I wish there was more we could do to speed it up for you guys, but we've already done what we could (fixed the problem in a patch) and now it's all up to those testing / certifying it.

Thanks for all your patience and please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

It seems that we just have to wait for a new firmware. This patch he is talking about is the things that was stated some weeks ago. But hopefully this also fixes the Ranking Problems.

We just wait and see.

I see your patch post, but does anyone know if stats save today?

It only started happening to me yesterday...

If they aren't fixed, I guess we really will have to wait for a patch.

Im retiring too. I guess i could give warhawk or resistance a run again, since i havent touched them since i got CoD4.

lol i thought i was the only one having this problem. i was almost done with the assault challenges so i can get the golden ak 47 but it keeps reseting. guess i just gotta wait till they fix it:cry:

Ahh man i'll be so pissed if this is still happening. I raised 3 ranks last night (i think up to 35) and I completed a bunch of challenges.

I already lost all the upgrades for the M16 and 2 ranks when my rank dropped 2 nights ago.

it happened to me...i got 150 headshots with the M4 and then ranked to 37 from 34 and got the G36C and lost it all :(

ye same thing happend 2 me last nite i was on level 37 n reched lv 39 3 times n had 2 start frm lv 37again.i thought it was my ps3 so i restored it n now i have 2 start all over again n it still kepps me on lv 1 all da time.does any1 knw wen it will go bck 2 normal so i can stat playin again?
