CoD4 should i get it?

Dont get this game, for many reasons...1) Its way too expensive

2) single player only last a few minutes

3)the graphics are horrible

4)controls are awkward

5) online is very boring and not that many people play

6)this game feels like your playing PS1

7) other players are very helpfull and curteous online but they arent very good so you will kill them very often

8) there are only 6 weapon types

9) Hellicopters and airstrikes are ineffective.

10) Its jjust a very boring and tame game suitable for kindergardeners on sleeping pills.

nagh, its still good.
even if it IS short, its cheaper now, so im guessing itd be worth it

MGS4 is cheaper than COD4 now.

is this game worth getting based mostly on the single player part? i play a little online but 90% of the time i prefere single player exp. i heard its rather short.Wild_Card

Yes,the single player campaign is a bit short.If you don't like online i think you should at least rent the game:)

Oh yea. It is worth every penny I paid for it. A robust single player mode and when you have completed that, jump in for online multiplayer.

Alot of people are on and the matches load quickly.

One of the best online experiences I've ever had, Couldn't justify $60 since the single player is so sort and the replay value for it is nill.

In COD4 defense I was never a big online player, until I rented COD4 that is.

Are we talking about the same game? The only statements that could be true were the first two.

TC, since you like single player, you should know that the campaign is short (5 hours). If you don't really plan on playing online much, then maybe this would be a good rental. But I would recommend playing online. It is one of the most fun shooters I've ever played. But if multiplayer isn't your thing, then no, you probably shouldn't purchase it.
