CoD5 mistake??

i dunno i need to vent ma frustration and concern at the fact tht the game has now been sent back in the WW2.....hell the reason tht CoD4 was so gd and different was the fact tht it was so modern and had a completely new setting....is it just me hu thinks this??

They should have made something out of the box, like Call of Duty 5: Future Warfare. Well not that name, but you know where I'm getting at. They already made 3 games that were in past wars.

i dont know but the WWII setting is not as appealing as it used to be, 1,2,3 games about it are ok ,,,,but now its gotten out of control

I completely agree. I hate the fact that they made the best FPS and wanna go back and screw it up with WWII. Saying that, I won't be buying COD5, and skip right to Resistance 2 ya dig. Hopefully they will continue to make new maps for COD4 though, cause i'm sure i'm not the only one who would pay 10 bucks for em.

I think itll be great, its set in the pacific i think so therll be jungle warfare. Nang would have been better then you could drop napalm strikes. I think the campaign will be better in cod5 and still have great online!

MGS4 and BFBC are the fillers until confrontation but sept is when it is going to get even better

Its going to be made by Treyarch, the same that made god awful call of duty 3, and since its coming out on Wii also, yeah its a waste.

I use to think, "Omg not another WW2 themed game!" Blargh! All all that but I'm beginning to really like where Treyarch is going with Call of Duty: World at War NOT Call of Duty 5, guys. It has a name. After taking a look at a few scans, I'm much hyped for this new installment. It looks promising and the graphics are right up there with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, if not better. I know why people are doubting this game and they are already bashing Treyarch and "Call of Duty 5." But, this is where you're going to be wrong. Give this game a chance. Check out the scans (somewhere on internet) and see for yourself. It does indeed look promising. And I know Treyarch are going to do whatever it takes to live up to the hype to COD4. With that theory, I doubt they'll screw up. Besides, I'm pretty sure Treyarch and Infinity Ward have some sort of partnership going on and they might be helping each other on the side in terms of inspirations and advice. Why else would they switch off making every other Call of Duty game? That's just my theory. I dont know how to explain it, but I know it's going to be a great game. Needless to say, we could use some more modern warfare over WW2, but just imagine sneaking up on enemies in the jungle with a machette, possibly ripping their hearts out or slashing them down in pure bloodshed? I think it would be pretty awesome.

WWII Began 70 years ago. Most Vets have already passed away. Living Vets would be over 90 years of age.

Treyarch is going to make millions off of the 5th installment because people will think "oh COD4 was amazing, and this is the sequel so heres my 60$!"

Treyarch is kind of a smaller form of EA, make crappy games and people will still buy it again and again and again.

Anyone who realizes that the COD franchise switches between two developers will be wary of the next game. However, you are right that COD4 mania will carry over to COD5. Hopefully, Treyarch will deliver a solid gaming experience. - Though I cannot expect anything revolutionary from yet another WWII fps.
