I'm not sure whether I'ma get MW2 and Bf:BC2 for the PC or PS3 and so I'd really like toknow more about the offline multiplayer.

Was there any for the first games, CoD:MW and Bf:BC? And if so, howare they? Coop and/or competitive?

Thankiews!

Cod4:MW has pretty RADICAL offline multiplayer. Like, if you get 2-3 buddies goin on it is wicked fun. Personally i think online is alot more fun, for example if you get your buddies online playing with you online, you will be playing it for months. Im Sincerely hoping for CODMW2 to have simmilar multiplayer, and judging from the reviews ive read it is basically the same. Another point which might influence your decision...im pretty sure Bad Co, doesnt have offline multiplayer. The online is cool but im pretty sure its 1 player.

CoD: WaW is better than Cod 4. It has zombie mode and also cooperative campaign

Cool, thanks for replies. Anyone think of the possibility Bf:BC2 can have offline multiplayer? I miss good ol' Time Splitters days with splitscreen and bots. There hasn't been a game like that since this generation of gaming started. =(

And CoD:MW and WaW's offlinemultiplayer was competitive was it? Good, I prefer fragging a friend than fragging with him.

I feel your pain, I really do. I love offline multiplayer but I don't think DICE has any plans to make BC 2 have offline multi.

It seems most of the good shooters on the PS3 either only have coop and does not do competitive for offline, or does not do offline multiplayer at all. I wanna frag my friends when they come over (or get fragged by 'em, doesn't matter)!

At this point I'm hoping for competitive offline play from all sorts of games like Bad Company 2. Hm... perhaps BioShock 2. Maybe even Uncharted 2!

I understand not having campaign coop in Killzone 2 but how about a DLC to have offline competitive multiplayer as in when you're against bots. They had that in the first Killzone so WTF man?! Splitscreen Killzone was one of the first PlayStation 2 games I ever played (I got into gaming only a few years ago).

So...

Call of Duty :Modern Warfare's offline multiplayer's competitive is it? Is it like the online component, just offline and splitscreen?
If so I'm definitely getting Modern Warfare 2 for PS3!

it should be standard that all shooters/racing gzmes should have 4 player split screen. Motorstorm 2 has 4 player split screen with 12 bots

PC versions will be superior enough not to worry about offline multiplayer.

Don't. Even if you get it, buy it on PC. Multiplat games suck on PS3.

Since when did Battlefield games ever have offline multiplayer? I doubt they had any ever since 1942, and I think that was their first.

Well, the reason I wannit for console is for the offline multiplayer. Maybe the PC version will have better graphics and perhaps better loading times, this and that but I'm not really concerned about those things.

I just need good shooters I can play with friends when they come over, preferably competitive 'cause if they're gonna be over only for a while,I'd rather notinto coop.

Killzone 2 has got no offline multiplayer, Resistance 2 doesn't have competitive... It seems I'm running outta options. Modern Warfare 2's the only thing I can think of, unless... someone can name me something else.

Lol, unfortunately I think the main reason me mates would be over is to leech me of my PS3. If I really hafta, I could get it for PC as well but I'm desperate for a good split screen shooter!

I been wishing for DICE to do this since the PS3 came out, no luck. The closest thing is Killzone 2.
