Hello.

Some of us have noticed that when you play certain games, the Vita will announce that it has lost its network connection. This might be like an energy-saving feature, though.
I've read a poster on psvita forum started having burn ins from playing MK alot. I also read some posters that the rubbers on the nubs are starting to wear off or get dirty.Hello.

I don't think I've heard of any problems really surface with the device. The biggest "problem" I've heard of is blotchy blacks when the screen is all black (like when loading a game), but that's a side effect of OLED.LongZhiZiI actually realized what you were describing here the other day, and that has bothered me about the Vita since I first bought it. I guess it's nothing to worry about since the screen seems fine, and games play just fine, but when the screen is black it looks like it's broken or something lol.

Yeah that's just how OLED screens are. My Zune HD is the same way.
I have had my PSvita since the Feb 15th 2012 early launch. I have 20 retail games and all or the free Throw-away download games for PSvita. So far no hardware issues. The PSvita has not failed in anyway. Unlike last time with the PSP 1000. Sony launched with the infamous Value pack. Those early PSP 1000's had deal pixels. Sony's attitude was tough **** live with it. They didn't really care back then.
But with PSvita this system works like a charm. Sony's customers service hopefully has improved by this point. PSvita is a great system no hardware issues this time around.

Good to hear there isn't anything wrong with my Vita, as I just got one and noticed the screen looks kind of weird when it is just black but fine the rest of the time.
Also, gets warm when playing uncharted for a while. Gets hot after a charge. Good for winter gaming, not so much in the summer. Not hotter than an iPad 3, though. dogpigfish
it has high end mobile tech in it, of course its goina to get hot. 99% of tablets get hot when watching a video. so don't worry and enjoy your vita.

I haven't really experienced my tablet getting hot when watching videos----ipad, nexus 7, asus tablet, or even the failed HP tablet.... That is strange---although maybe it gets warm since you're holding it for a long period of time? The touchscreen sometimes stops responding completely, especially if it gets a little moisture on it. Restarting the system does the trick, though, and it's pretty uncommon.Granpire
happened only once for me and this was when I turned it on after sleep mode.
I'd say it's a pretty solid and reliable device!

Just bought a vita from my co-worker this week, SO glad that this is nothing to worry about! I was freakin out that my vita was messed up.
picked up my vita back in june/july and really enjoying it. the games i have for it i find really enjoyable.
i have noticed that on the rear of the device where the information is below the rear touch pad, over the CE bit there is a slight bump, not sure if this is where it has warped from heat or something whilst charging. anyone else notice this on theirs?
