I just got my PS3 and I don't have HDTV just yet. The best I can do is go component. I've noticed several options as far as brands which vary in price. Is there an actual difference in quality between them? Should I just stick with Sony's official or spend the extra $ for third party wires?

the sony ones are fine, by the way component does hd, or does your component input only support 480i/p?

Your not gonna notice a difference whatever brand you use on an SDTV. Just go with the cheapest.

Thanks guys. The TV I'm using is a 4 year old 32" Panasonic SD CRT. I'm not sure of the excact specs. I just know it has component and s-vid inputs. I know I'm not going to get stellar images from it, but I want the best I can get out of it til I go HD(next year).
