So I was reading a little snippet about Resistance 2 in the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly and it mentioned that the game now limits you to 2 weapons at a time. I find this a bit of a step backwards because I thought allowing the gamer to have a large selection of weapons was a real strong point. By having a larger selection of weapons the player is granted more options when dealing with different in game situations. Furthermore there are certain weapons I might not of used(like the Sapper and Hailstorm) if it meant sacrificing a more powerful weapon.
I'm not saying that this makes the game a deal breaker and that I'm not going to buy it but I just seems like they're trying to emulate Halo 3 and for any of you who have played it you know that there are certain weapons that you never use just because it's not worth sacrificing other weapons.
So what are your views? Do you think that the first one was better or will only having to guns at a time make the game better?
