Confirmed: The Last of Us on PS4

You all heard that a Turkish person (not me) talked about The Last of Us coming to PS4. Well, that guy is actually the head of marketing in PlayStation Turkey, and no doubt that he knows more than us.

And, Sony, confirmed the news. The game will be released in the summer.

Yea I saw it this morning when I checked all the gaming sites........ I'm personally happy about it. I'm such a ND Fanboy that I'm willing to pay another $60 for it. Tomb Raider IMO wasn't good enough for me to pay another $60 for.

Im glad they announced this. Had the ps3 version then traded it in without even playing the multiplayer which I heard was good. I regret it.

So I will be getting this game again for ps4. I wonder how the enhanced graphics are going to look considering it already looked great on ps3.

I made a thread last year about the possibility of a port and half the people on the forums wanted to burn me at the stake!!! lol...it's not like it was rocket science and I was shocked that so many people didn't think it would happen.

I'm so glad I waited....now I'll get the best version available on the PS4.

Eh, I'm a big ND fan, but they need to add more content to get me to buy again. $10 upgrade option would help a lot,too.

I'd like some extra content. Especially more campaign. Maybe another expansion.

This is probably one of the few ps3 remakes for the ps4 that I would spent $60. Mass effect trilogy and GTA 5 being the only other ones.

I'd do an Uncharted trilogy. But after PSnow comes out, we might not have to worry about this issue at all...

There's a rumour going on about a special edition of Uncharted 4, where you can get all Uncharted games for PS4.

You know what? this makes me so happy! I finished the game on PS3, but I believe Naughty Dog deserve all the support I can give them. This is one of those games I would pay full price for over and over again, such a beautiful well done game.

Next part hurts to say, but I never finished an Uncharted game. I had too much games to play at the time and never went through them all the way. I really hope they announce an Uncharted trilogy next because I will be doing back flips in joy. I want them on disc not through PlayStation Now.

I still haven't seen any confirmation. That link confirms the rumor. I'll wait for an official press release from Sony proper before I buy into it. Good news if true though. I never actually played TLOU on PS3.

That's pretty much exactly what I would want.

I just hope it isn't a Rehash of it and they really make it worth me buying it again, I want a brand new game pretty much visually, I think that is what the other team are doing the main team are on Uncharted 4, thats my guess.

but anyhow yea can't wait to see it, but it is going to take something special for me to buy it again.

This should be a good thing, but I don't like it. Why waste time "remastering" PS3 games to the PS4 games when PS4 games should be the main focus of the PS4? I guess this isn't anything new. I was happy to see the first 2 God of War games remastered for the PS3 last gen because I didn't play those on the PS2. So I should be happy for those who didn't play The Last of Us on the PS3. But the thing that gets me is how quick they are to do this. I mean, just months, maybe even weeks ago, Naughty Dog didn't sound interested in making a PS4 version, even calling it "unlikely" if I recall correctly. And suddenly, there's going to be a PS4 version in mere months.

I guess I'm just mad that I won't be willing to pay for the same game again (at least not anywhere near full price) just to play a "better" version. But I loved The Last of Us as it was on the PS3. The visuals were great for the system. Yeah, the FPS could have been a bit better, but whatever. I enjoyed the game regardless. I'm just thinking Sony is pressuring ND to do this, which leads me to believe there will be a possibly unnecessary sequel due to the first game's huge success.

Not really dude, a lot of people transitioned from the Xbox 360 to the PS4 this generation and never got to play, whilst others sold their PS3 before The Last of Us released. Then there are people like me who'd buy it again regardless because Naughty Dog are better than sex.

Far from a confirmation. If it is happening good for the people who want it, I guess. I personally think its way too soon. Just seems like a cash grab and something to fill the space between releases.

I do think that this would make a great port onto the PS4 and would really benefit from the increase in hardware. Even though I still have the PS3 version, I might actually consider trading up if/when it comes out. Still....I have to wonder if Naughty Dog is going to add any additional content to the PS4 version or just leave it as a straight port.

The only additional content they will probably add is all of the dlc that has been released will be included like with the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition that cake with all of the dlc.

Probably won't play it as finished it on ps3, was a great game though.

It's pretty much confirmed now, PS4 The Last of Us “Complete Edition” listed on Spanish retailer site

so the complete edition comes with the left behind dlc? good because I never played it.

Yeah comes with the DLC and a nice little carry bag. I never played the DLC either, after I finished The Last of Us I traded in my PS3 so I was spewing. What I did though was go on to Youtube and watch a play through of Left Behind and now I am pissed, seeing how I spoiled the whole story for me. Oh well, still going to enjoy every second of the game again.

This makes me happy. Will definitely be getting it for the PS4.

since it'a ps exclusive game, sony should offer a discount for those of us who already bought the ps3 title, it could be named "the discount of us" - ok, bad joke, sorry... :)

Good thing that I sold my PS3 copy a few weeks back. Would probably not have gotten such a good price for it now.

The only thing that I care about is the new difficulty mode that is supposed to be added in the third dlc. Ever since it was released I was thinking how they could have added all the stuff they wanted if the game could have waited until the PS4 was released. I have beaten the game, but I have not bought it. Since this will basically be a graphics boost, I will just buy it on ps3 to enjoy the higher difficulty.

If it has higher rest textures, I may get it. If it's just higher resolution, no sale.

Agreed, it will be more then worth it to me to get it on day1 because I never played the PS3 version and it will include ALL of the DLC(confirmed by ND)

Saw it on PS store last night.

I have a nib tlos for ps3. I haven't had time to play yet but if gta v announces it's coming to ps4, I will be moving onto the ps4...

hopefully there is a digital upgrade plan for those fans who purchased and kept their ps3 copy

I'm not in the "OMG TLOU IS THE BEST GAME EVER" crowd but I did enjoy it enough to get Platinum (with help from ps4 trophies of course).

Anyone else agree that the multplayer is vastly underrated? Maybe because it actually takes tactics and teamwork, unlike the frenetic CoD games : p
