Now im confused 1 person told me i dont have to hook up the PS3 to my computer and 1 person is telling me that i have tooo im sooo confused which 1 is the right answer?!?!?!?!_MysTesO_

Are you talking about having your PS3 connected to the internet through a cable?? If so you don't really need to if you have a wireless router in your home.
