To hook up wireless you need a wireless router which connects to your modem. Once you have that, you set your router up so it can speak with other wireless objects aka ps3. Your ps3 will detect the router and connect to it...
Wireless you jus gotta connect a wire from your ps3 to an ethernet jack. There you have online.

ISP is a code/numer (personally dont use it), but it makes your ps3 connect to the internet...Contact your service provider if you are unsure of this..
As for the second part im not sure. If you take it out of your pc, you wont have ethernet..But your ps3 will. I think finding or installing an ethernet jack near your ps3 would be the best possible way...
But again wireless is also an option especially if your ps3 is far away from your modem. All you would have to do is connect your modem to your router...Then configure the router to get a internet signal to your ps3...Not hard, easier and more convienent.
