I actually had this happen a few times when I would show my mates my PSP, for some weird reason they all thought it was a speaker? They were shocked to find out that it was an analogue stick...
There isn't anystore that sells the little piece? I do know that it pops out and I actually preferred it with out the piece. It was smaller and that little square gives me more control of the analog.
