Ok, i'm a PSP newbie and i have 2 stupid questions that i seriously need anwsered.

1) How do i update firmware on the PSP. YES i've been to the website, the only question i have or problem i have is having the default PSP --> GAME Folder ---> UPDATE Folder to pop up on my computer. I have no idea how to get to that point. What are the steps on how to get to that point so i can update to the new firmware. Yes i know its a stupid question but for some reason i was born stupid so yes explain in baby steps.

2) How do i play games online using the network connection. I guess i need to start up a connection using my PSP user name and password. I know my brother has a computer i use here, so i guess my question is how do you do online play using a PSP. Now this one i dont know and again i am a dumb idiot so explaining it a simple matter would be helpful thanks!

1) At the PSP website download the firmware version that you require (3.30 now). Make sure you know where the eboot.pbp file has been stored after it has downloaded. Then connect your PSP to your PC with a mini-USB cable (if you dont have one, buy it, there only 3 pounds). Then turn off your PSP, take out any UMDS and turn it on again. At the PSP's xmb (user interface) scroll to the option to the left (System settings) and then scroll down (or up) to USB connection. Then on your computer, the PSP will be connected and can be found in My Computer. Then at the root of your memory stick (the outerwards most directory, in my case, as soon I double click drive G in my computer) create a folder named PSP if there isnt one already. Make sure all letters are capitals. In the PSP folder, make a folder named GAME. In the GAME folder, make a folder called UPDATE. Copy the eboot.pbp file to the PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder. Follow the instructions and it will install like a dream. :D 2) You need a wireless internet connection. Get a wireless adapter and connect it to your modem (I recommend the latest ****** router).

Sorry missed out out one step. :) After you have copied eboot.pbp file to PSP/GAME/UPDATE disconnect USB. Then on your PSP scroll right to the GAME option, then down to the memory stick option and the update programme will be there. Click it! PS. You must have a Memory stick duo of at least 32 mb. Available from most electronic retailers.

is it a wireless router, if not then get Wifi Max.

If its a wireless router then you gotta set up a new connection, you can do this but goin into the network settings and scanning for a connection.
