Considering getting a PS3.

Im thinking about getting a PS3, i have a few questions though. First let me start off by saying ive got both the other consoles so im not interested in multiplatform games.

now for the questinons:

1. Ive read alot about how there arent many games on the ps3...remember exclusives only....i like shooters, rpgs, adventure, and fighters mostly. Anyone able to list all the exclusive games that are gonna be good coming out soon?

2. Hearing lots of stuff about a price cut or 40g version. how likely is that to happen within the next month or so?

2b. how much of a price cut if so?

2c. price of the 40g if so?

3 If there is a 40g coming out would that be the best version to buy?

4. If i were to buy a ps3 and then a price cut were to happen within like a month anybody know if the store would return it for the price i paid for before the cut was announced? so i can either get the same version for cheaper or get the 40g version?

5. last question. ive got an hdtv with hdmi, and component. but my surround sound has no hdmi port in it. ive never used hdmi before so is my surround sound supposed to have an hdmi port or is it a different port that i plug sound into?

Exclusives out, that are good: Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Resistance Fall of Man.

Coming, that look promising: Uncharted, Haze, Ratchet And Clank, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy. Devil May Cry 4 will come out before the end of the year, but it's also on 360.

The price-cut issue is tough. Likely a new version of PS3 will come out around the holidays. Being 40GB and retailing around $400. If you want a smaller hard drive and don't mind waiting, go for it. It's almost inevitable.

If you buy a system now, you won't be able to return it for a cheaper model via a price-match return. Why? Because the new models will very likely be 40GB, therefor, it's a different model completely. There is also a small chance of a price cut on the 80 GB version near the holidays, but you're looking at maybe $50.

Shooters: UT3, Haze, Killzone RPGS: Folklore, FFXIII Adventure: Uncharted, R&C Fighters: Tekken 6

2b. how much of a price cut if so? The 40gb will be $399 and the 80gb will be $499

2c. price of the 40g if so? $399

3 If there is a 40g coming out would that be the best version to buy? if you want to save money just get the 40gb and replace the hdd, but if you want the best version go buy a 60gb version while there is any supply left

1) Tons of Great Exclusive Games like Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet and Clank: TOD, Haze, Heavenly Sword, and Warhawk, all out this year and all great games. 2, b, c,and 3) No real price cuts announced yet, but everyone is speculating that the 80gb version of the ps3 will go down to $500 this holiday season. As for the 40gb, while it hasn't been "officially" confirmend by sony, tons of articles and investigations are proving that such a model is on the way, i think the rumored date is october 28th for it's release or release of info or something. The price of the 40gb would be $400, and would only come in one version possibly bundled with spiderman 3 on blu-ray.

4) Depends on where you buy it from, but generally most stores will give you a refund of the difference if it's within 2 weeks or maybe even a month or so.

5) Don't exactly know how to help you here, but I do know people have sucessfully hooked their ps3s to 7.1 surround sound, which requires hdmi so it means it's possible, but I don't exactly know how to work.

The games coming out look awsome and so does warhawk. I think ill go for the 60gb version for the BC it has.

just one more question...more about warhawk. I have a little brother that comes and hangs out sometimes, and alot of friends come over. Is warhawk able to have splitscreen if i get an extra controller?
