Controller Problem???!!!

Hello Ive been having this problem with my controller where whenever I plug it into the charger the controller doesnt charge. I've tried resetting the controller and that didn't work. Now the battery has died and I can not get my PS3s controller to work at all now.

I bought it in June.

Any ideas, I don't think it can be dead because it is a relatively new controller. I am just trying to figure out how to get it to charge.
