Convince ps3 is the right choice?

Ok you might as well be able to tell from my name i do most of my gaming on pc:D but this holiday season I am getting a console. Now i am a neutral so i'm just looking to get whats worth my money.

I have come down to this board because you guys have a ps3 and so you are at best to give me reasons to get one.

I already have reasons to get a 360 and not to get a 360. Now its the ps3's turn. The recent price cut has definately made me reconsider getting a ps3.

PS3 got 60gb hdd, blue ray, free online, reliability;

360 - 20gb hdd, dvd, noise, rings of death.

now that the ps3 has come down in price im more inclined to get one over the 360, but still the most important thing is games, good games. atm ps3 doesn't have as much as the 360, like it hasn't even released a single of the exclusives i have listed yet, although when they come it'll be great but still none of them are coming out untill 2008 right.

Also what is it that i hear that the ps3 has frame rate issues, whats with that?

btw how come Tomb raider isn't on ps3, oh and uncharted looks like it has some similarities to tomb raider.

360 had gears but now its coming to the pc i'll be gettin it for that, though alan wake looks like it'll be good, so thats it give me your opinions guys.:)

apologies if i didn't ask my question properly, well actually i'm not looking to for you guys to say 360 is better than ps3 or vice versa, just give me a few good reasons you guys(ps3 guys only) think i should get one, i don't want to know which is the better console and launch a system wars debate, is it possible just to hear your user opinions on the ps3?

Ps3 faults right now price but thats to change since 40gig is out and not enough games this year but next year ohh baby.

360 too human, alan wake, mass effect, Ace combat 6, lost odyssey, Fable 2, Beautiful katamari, Ninja gaiden 2, Naruto exclusive, tom clancy splinter cell conviction, and I think thats all...

The GetAway, MGS4, MGS online, Killzone 2, LBP, Gran Turismo 5, White knight story, Final fantasy 13 and Versus, Infamous, Team Ico next game, Naruto made by bandai in 2008, David jaffes exclusives, new franchise by rockstar, killzone 2, Star ocean 4, Monster hunter 3, Persona 4, Nomi Nomi boy, Wardevil enigma, tekken 6 and etc.

Haze, Uncharted, Ratchet and clank TOD, Folklore, Eye of judgement, eye dentify, pain, Timce crisis 4, Resisstance 2 come on we know its coming, and much more.

Frame rate issues are only with those games ported from UBISOFT and EA sports who have proven to make bad ports and games on both the xbox 360 and Ps3 so no worries there unless your gonna buy a game from them.

Next tomb raider is already in development for a relase in 2009 planned for the ps3 only but could go multiplatform.

Well I can tell you ps3 is gonna pick up the pace as youc an see from its games and its price now. Hope I convinced yah and next time move this to system wars please lol.

only you can decide if somethings worth it.

do all those games justify a 500 dollar console? if yes buy a ps3. if not, dont.

I heard something about a new rockstar game after gtaIV that'll be exclusive to ps3, did you guys hear that too or was i just imagining that.

There will be more great exclusives on the ps3 to play than the 360 if you're a PC gamer. /thread.

Oo how can i miss LA Noire and Nc soft exclusive to make CORPGS for the ps3 and we know how they did with those game cough guild wars cough. Also motorstorm 2 :D

Sony first and second party devs are the best in the industry.

Its the most powerfull gameconsole you can buy.

Also, dont forget the mention that its designed to last longer than a year and a month when your Warranty voids!!

man i really hate threads like this, i mean go look up in ps3 menu, and see wat games coming and wats muliplatform, and wat exclusive ps3 has, noone here can tell u or convince u to get one, we all have the ps3 for our own reasons, some for blu ray, some for the exclusive games, some even for free online, so just look up wat the ps3 has, wat ur interested in, games??? the exclusive that we gettin, then make ur OWN decisionJoKeR_421

Actually i have done all of this, all i wanted to hear is first hand experience of ps3 owners, like are they enjoying it, and just in general their thoughts.

I don't mean to be rude or anything but if you hate this kind of thread then don't post. Its not about should i buy it, because i am definately buying a console this xmas, but i wanted to hear postives about the ps3 as keep on hearing ppl bash it, because of the price, frame rates, and lack of titles which are being resolved now.

edit - also after reading many of the responses i am more convinced that the ps3 is right for me, so this thread wasn't that hopeless for me at least; and sure at the end of the day it is my decision.

Sorry dude, I hate to be rude, but why should we care which system you get!!!! Both sytems are great...you can't go wrong either way.

if you plan playing games online, PS3 is cheaper.

Also uncharted will be coming out 2007 while MGS4 is early 2008

I have all three current consoles, so far I play PS3 and that little white console the most. Sure X-bots will give you a very opinionated answer, but what I'll say is that most titles are multiplat so if you are going to make a decision on games it's by exclusives. One thing to keep in regard is the Blu-ray factor. BR is going to win... period. So if you have an HDTV, there is really no choice. If you don't yet game in HD, you should think aboot maybe a TV first if you want to read any of the in game text. As for exclusives, check out Socom:Confrontation, Little Big Planet... Oh, and there's this thing aboot Rstar giving $ony "the next big thing" exclusively to the PS3. But then again, X-mas is coming and Santa would probably get a kick out of the three red lights on the M$ console.bubnux

Its your money so you need to make ur own choice. Look at wat will be best for u long term. The last thing u want is to buy something and realize its wrong for you.

If you like PC, you could save yourself the heartache, buy a **** off screen from dell, and a blu ray drive for your PC. Much better. I own a PS3 dude, they suck atm. 360 is better. Disregard all this "in 2010... when the cows come home... when jesus returns" crap the games are GTOING to be sick. Right now, for the money... they suck. Blu ray or no blu ray (expensive DVD's) they suck. only some titles actually look anyway. All those older movies suck. Sure matrix or xmen might look awesome but not the old libraries from the 90's etc.

If you only want to spend some money son SOMETHING - get the 360 - then the PC upgrade - then the PS3, last.

The browser for the net on the PS3 is slow as dogs balls also. More of a novelty, like the one on the PSP.

If in 2008 the games are going to be that good, woory about it then. But im sure the 360 will impress you overall, much more. Messenger intergration with friends list, gamer score, gears of war - NOW -Halo 1-2-3 - NOW - PGR series now! all the EA games - Looking better - NOW. Nuff said..
